Parna – Durable & Comfortable Khaddar Fabric

Our Khadar (Khaddar) fabric is a durable, comfortable 100% cotton fabric that is heavier and more substantial than our regular Full Voile turban fabric. Its slightly thicker construction gives it a traditional feel, excellent structure, and a comfortable drape, making it a popular choice for Parnas and traditional turbans.

Khadar is ideal for those looking for a fabric that offers durability, comfort, and a classic traditional appearance. Due to its heavier weight, it may feel different from lightweight Full Voile and may require slightly different preparation and tying techniques.

Care & Preparation

To maintain the fabric's softness, color, and overall quality, we recommend pre-washing before the first use.

• Wash Separately: Wash new Khadar fabric separately, especially during the first few washes, as some colors may release excess dye.
• Gentle Washing: Hand washing is recommended. If using a washing machine, select a gentle or delicate cycle.
• Mild Detergent: Use a mild detergent. Avoid bleach, fabric treatments, or harsh chemicals.
• Avoid Excessive Agitation: Do not scrub or wring the fabric aggressively, as this may affect its texture and shape.
• Drying: Air dry in the shade. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to help maintain the fabric's color.
• Ironing: If ironing is required, use a low-to-medium heat setting suitable for cotton. Always test a small, less visible area first.

Please Note: As a natural cotton fabric, Khadar may experience slight changes in texture, softness, or dimensions after washing. Proper pre-washing helps prepare the fabric for comfortable use and more consistent fitting when tying.
